How luscious those patty cakes look (I refuse to call them cupcakes). Re finishing projects, yes it is a satisfaction to finish but to me, the joy is in working on them, such as your rich tapestry of works. You are fortunate to be able to learn more about your antecedents by talking and looking at photographs, only one photo book was saved during WWII by my Mother's family, so they are precious.
