After some time away I am back to recording my daily living. So much has happened since then; so much has
remained as it always will.
There’s still plenty to do around the home with baking,
cleaning, and time for some crafting too. I’ve learnt to bake my own bread of
late after some interesting failures, or is that learning attempts?
Peas and spearmint:
Roughly chop up a handful of spearmint leaves. Soak the leaves in a dish of water about 2-3 cups of water. You can squeeze and 'kneed' the leaves to break them down and to color the water with their flavour. Strain the leaves and keep the water to add to your water that you will boil your peas in. The spearmint is a more subtle taste than peppermint which can also be used.
All of it is being recorded in books and journals I’ve been
making. There's also much more I've been making but that is for another time!
What I've been watching:
"There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort."- Jane Austen.
