Bloggy Hiatus

Due to personal health reasons I will be placing this blog on an early hiatus. I’m not sure how long the hiatus will be because I’ll be having a full total abdominal Hysterectomy on the 25 August and will need some recovery time. I will also have to wait for news about the cyst they are removing to see if there is any possibility of cancer. I’m remaining positive and will hopefully afterwards be at least able to comment on blog posts while I’m resting up!

So in the meantime, Be kind. Tell your loved ones you love them. And Be happy!

To fill in your time here are my favourite blogs I like to read:

Ruby Sapphires

I've been painting. And managed to finally finish up this small canvas. I thought I would do much more to it but I think it finished up where it was supposed to finish up. The painting is perhaps my favourite with those sapphire blue colours I like so much. If you notice peeking just above the painting is some of my older art work framed, they were done in oil. This painting is done in Acrylic's. I don't have a name for it yet...it'll come to me.

Usually I don't do much to the sides of canvas paintings but I wanted to add some decorating around the edges. I thought if I didn't want to hang it up I could maybe make it into a cover for an art journal if I wanted to. Around the sides are a quote:

"A Gypsy is a Gypsy...

They'll steal the rings from your fingers...

and the love from your heart.

And they never come back."

I think our gal has found out about the quote the hard way.
I also brushed some gold glitter around the edges and gave a hint of it on the edges on the front of the canvas. It might not be very art...but why not.

I hope everyone is having a good day or evening whereever they are.

Foggy blue

Over the weekend we had some really nice weather it looked like Spring was well and truely ready to arrive...even though it is a few more weeks yet! But today's foggy, drizzly weather meant Spring will have to wait. Oh well. It was a good day to stay indoors and catch up on some drawing.

This is a zine I've been working on and like everything else is still in progress. There's 16 pages about old fashioned living. I've some computer printed writing, my hand writing and a ton of my drawings all through the pages. I'm really becoming excited about drawing and painting again, it's been a while since I got into it.

And I've been working on this gal, the one started here. I think she waits for her gypsy soul-mate... it'll end in tears. The colours reflect the colours in todays dreary and drab weather. I still have some more painting to do before I finish her.

I hope everyone is having a good day or evening wherever they are.
