Here, winter has truly arrived. The morns are filled with
heavy fog and a real chill in the air. While we don’t have snow, I will admit I
like this time of year most next to autumn.
I’m not sure what it is about this season but I do tend to
look more and more towards things that are very textured and tactile.
I like the feel of soft, warm bed coverings.
Out in the garden I find I am looking more at crumbling,
rustic surfaces. Bare twigs and dried flowers heads.
There’s always something to find and enjoy.
And there is nothing like adding small touches of winter
season to home made items to be reminded of the season when it finishes for the
year.
